1. Who are eligible for this examination?
- Students studying in Classes VI, VII, VIII, IX, and X in the academic session 2026–27 are eligible to appear for this examination.
- The registration process is open only for schools under Nagaon district.
- However, students who are permanent residents of Nagaon district but studying outside the district can also participate. Such students are requested to contact us.
2. Which medium students can participate?
- Primarily, students from Assamese and English medium can register.
- Students from other mediums may also participate, but the question paper will be available only in Assamese and English.
3. When will the registration process begin?
Registration for the ‘Anusandhani’ Merit Scholarship Examination – 2026 will start from 1st April 2026.
4. When will the examination be held?
The examination will be conducted during the summer vacation of 2026.
The exact date will be announced later.
5. What is the registration fee?
The registration fee is ₹100 (one hundred) per student.
6. How can registration be completed?
- Students can register online through the official website/portal.
- The registration form must be filled in English CAPITAL LETTERS only.
- Offline registration is also available for those facing difficulties with online registration.

7. Where will the examination centre be?
- The exam will be conducted in the student’s own school.
- If the number of registered students in a school is insufficient, the organizing committee may assign a nearby school as the examination centre.
8. What will be the format of the question paper?
The question paper will consist of 50 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Separate question papers will be prepared for each class.
9. How will the questions be divided?
The 50 questions will be divided into the following 5 sections:
- a) Science: 10 questions
- b) Mathematics: 10 questions
- c) Language: 10 questions
- d) General Knowledge, Current Affairs & Social Science: 10 questions
- e) Reasoning & Critical Thinking: 10 questions

10. What is the evaluation system and marking scheme?
- Total marks: 100
- +2 marks for each correct answer
- −0.5 marks for each wrong answer or incorrect marking on OMR sheet (negative marking)
- No marks will be deducted for unanswered questions
11. What about syllabus and preparation?
- Questions will be based on topics already studied by students in previous classes.
- Students can refer to previous years’ question papers available on the website or WhatsApp for practice.
12. What is the exam conduction method?
- The exam will be conducted using an OMR sheet.
- Each question will have four options.
- Students must carefully fill the correct option by shading the appropriate circle.
13. What are the prizes and awards?
- 1st Prize: ₹3,000
- 2nd Prize: ₹2,000
- 3rd Prize: ₹1,000
- Special certificates for students scoring above a defined standard
- Participation certificate for all students
- Special school-level recognition arrangements
14. What are the aims and objectives of the examination?
- To identify hidden talents among rural students
- To provide financial encouragement to meritorious students
- To prepare students for competitive environments
- To implement a high-quality educational initiative at minimal cost
15. Does the organizer expect any financial profit from this exam?
No. This is a completely not-for-profit initiative with no intention of financial gain.
